Become Easier to Select.
The best time to prepare your skills, portfolio and application material is before the opportunity appears.

WHO IS IT FOR?
Check the skills, experience and eligibility requirements.
WHERE?
Online, physical or hybrid? Is a specific location required?
WHEN?
Check the event date, deadline and time commitment.
WHAT MUST I SEND?
Portfolio, video, CV, application, audition piece or something else?
WHO IS BEHIND IT?
Check the organiser and whether the opportunity can be verified.

DO I ACTUALLY FIT?
Apply because the opportunity makes sense — not simply because it exists.
A Listing Is Not Automatically Trustworthy.
Verify unfamiliar organisers and understand what you're agreeing to. Be cautious with unexpected fees, pressure to act immediately, requests for unnecessary personal information, unclear locations or unexplained changes to the original arrangement.
If you're under 18, involve a parent, guardian or trusted adult when an opportunity involves contracts, payments, travel, unfamiliar people or in-person arrangements.
Not Every Opportunity Does the Same Job.
AUDITIONS
Selection opportunities where your performance or suitability may be evaluated.
GIGS
Specific creative engagements, performances or project work.
JOBS
Employment or defined professional roles in the creative ecosystem.
GRANTS
Funding opportunities with their own eligibility, purpose and terms.
WORKSHOPS
Structured learning or development opportunities for creative skills.
COLLABORATIONS
Opportunities to build something with other creatives or organisations.
Want M-Creative to Know About It?
Auditions, creative jobs, grants, workshops and collaboration opportunities can eventually be considered for the board. Listings should provide enough information for creatives to understand and verify them.
Don't Guess. Ask.
If you've read the opportunity and something still doesn't make sense, take the question to the M-Creative Answer Desk.
ASK M-CREATIVE →Don't Wait Until the Door Opens to Start Preparing.
Build the skill. Build the proof. Understand the opportunity. Then be ready when the right door appears.
