You've Got Talent. Where Can It Take You?
Knowing that you're creative is only the beginning. Explore different creative directions and discover which paths you may want to test, learn and develop.
Which Direction Sounds Most Like You?
Click any path. You can explore all five.
Pick a Creative Direction
We'll show you what that direction can include, what skills matter and a practical first move.
THE PERFORMANCE PATH
You may enjoy using your voice, body, personality or stage presence to create an experience for an audience.
Technique, confidence, consistency, performance experience and the ability to practise deliberately.
Choose one performance skill and create a simple weekly practice routine. Record yourself occasionally so you can see and hear your progress.
THE CREATOR PATH
You may enjoy taking ideas from your imagination and turning them into things people can see, hear, read or experience.
Creative fundamentals, observation, technical skill, experimentation and the habit of actually finishing work.
Don't wait for perfect equipment. Choose one small project and finish it. Your early work is how you discover what you actually enjoy creating.
THE COMMUNICATION PATH
Your creativity may come alive through ideas, conversation, storytelling and connecting with other people.
Clear communication, listening, storytelling, research, confidence and understanding your audience.
Pick a subject you genuinely care about and practise explaining it clearly — through a short article, audio recording, presentation or interview.
THE PRODUCTION PATH
You don't always need to be the person in the spotlight. Some creative people are strongest at making the whole project work.
Organisation, collaboration, problem-solving, technical knowledge, communication and project planning.
Join or create one small project and take responsibility for making part of it happen. Production skills grow quickly when you're solving real creative problems.
THE CREATIVE BUSINESS PATH
You may be interested not only in creating, but also in understanding audiences, opportunities, money, branding and how creative work becomes sustainable.
Understanding value, communication, pricing basics, audiences, reliability, marketing and basic business skills.
Identify one creative skill you can develop into something useful for another person. Start learning both the creative skill and the business around it.
You Can Combine Paths.
Your creative future doesn't have to fit inside one box. Some of the most interesting careers sit between several creative directions.
PERFORMER + CREATOR
A musician who writes and produces their own material.
CREATOR + BUSINESS
A designer, photographer or filmmaker building a creative brand.
COMMUNICATOR + PRODUCTION
A presenter, producer, interviewer or digital media creator.
PRODUCTION + BUSINESS
A producer or creative director building projects and teams.
